My husband Mark and I are leading a Starting Point Group at church. We love this group and the format, discussing foundational issues and questions concerning the Christian life and relationship with Christ. This is a safe place to be real about our questions concerning God, faith and the things He does that we don’t understand.
In the curriculum we use I found a great quote by Meister Eckhart. “For however devoted you are to (God) you may be sure that He is immeasurably more devoted to you.”
I love that! On our best day we fail at being anything other than in need of God! No matter how devoted or unfaithful we are at any given moment, God always remains faithful to us.
Put that in your hat and wear it around a bit. We are cherished; even when we feel the least deserving of His love. He is always devoted to me! Remember the Olivia Newton John song from Grease, "Hopelessly Devoted to You"? That’s what He is. That makes me want to run and skip! Yippee!
