Do you remember the early prototypes of airplanes that were simply a chair, with petals and wings that had to be man powered? They were archaic, couldn’t pick up much speed or fly very high, to say the least they were primitive.
Recently I had an encounter with the Lord where I was lifted above my own primitive human efforts to see His glory and power available to me if I was willing to surrender my human methods for heavenly ones. God was offering me an apparatus, so to speak, that would enable me to move at supernatural speed in exchange for my feeble archaic prototype.
Instantly my response was, “Yes Lord!” There was no resistance, because I am well aware of my human limitations. Who would not immediately receive the exchange with the offer of heavenly empowerment?
The thing is every one of us is offered the same deal. Those who have set their face upon God and decided not to look back can be carried by the same heavenly empowerment. Yet why is it that many of us continue trying to maintain our lives with man power?
There is a great wind blowing and if we set our sails to the wind we will be carried to new distances in God. When was the last time you evaluated the rickety apparatus you try to maintain?
