Yesterday as I was driving through town I came upon a car with a license plate that read LifeFlt. Quickly I recognized the value in the amusing quip. Truly, there is no better way to pass through life than to soar with extended wings.
But what about those days when rather than soaring you feel more like limping? To avoid the risk of you thinking that I am always a Pollyanna, let me acknowledge that I have spent plenty of days underneath the mountain, rather than above it. Yes, I’ve had my fair share of valley-romping-days, carrying my trials along the dusty trail, like a mule with a burdensome pack.
Nevertheless, here are 7 tips that have consistently taken me from the valley into flight again. Hoping you too will take flight!
Kimber’s 7 Life Flight Tips
1. Keep your gaze upward “Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.” Helen Keller
2. Be bold “Fear has its use but cowardice has none.” Gandhi Consistent daily action produces results that will eventually move you skyward.
3. Forgive If you’re bitten by a viper, do what ever you can to suck the poison out. If you let it settle in, it will kill you!
4. Let your thinking be abundant Through faith chose to believe in the impossible, and by living in a realm beyond what you can see, the impossible will manifest. Settling for scarcity in your thinking will keep you planted on the ground.
5. Engage in life “I never did a day's work in my life. It was all fun.” Thomas Edison Engage in life and make it child's play. Looking back, these will be the good ole days. Tap into your childlikeness and make life fun!
6. Live into your dreams “A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.” Antoine de Satint Exupery If you can't imagine the life you desire, chances are you won't live it.
7. Don’t settle for the low dwelling average; let your vision take flight!
