Believe it or not, that is the easy part, just the beginning. But then comes the whole gestation period of waiting to witness the vision manifest. The baby has to be birthed! And spiritual births encompass a whole different kind of labor.
The labor and transition is the toughest part, because you still can’t see the evidence of the baby, and you are way too far along to go back to barrenness. Although you are impregnated with a seed of something great, living, and growing inside, you won’t know what it looks like until it actually comes forth.
I’m in the in between place of a new vision God is birthing in the life of my family right now. He’s shown us the stars in the sky, like Abraham, and now He’s leading us on a mission to overcome the giants and take the land like Joshua. We're in the process of walking out this gestation period until it becomes a reality in our lives. However, honestly sometimes I feel like I am broken down in the desert wanting to call AAA to move me out of this place.
That’s when I have to stand on the word and call into being that which is not, as though it were. Even when I can’t see the physical evidence, I have to call into being the vision that God’s spoken over our lives and move a head as if it is right on the way. That’s when instead of AAA, I call God’s telephone number for my next coordinate, as Jeremiah was instructed to do, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
With any vision it is necessary to have spiritual discernment and eyes of childlike faith to behold what God is birthing. Before I ever got to see any of my natural children, I had the privilege of carrying the dream with God for nine months. And so with spiritual vision we also have to learn to guard the life God is giving us, and not let outside interference cause us to miscarry.
During the process of the growth of God's vision, He is also preparing us to nurture the new life that will be entrusted to us. And so we have to move forward from where we are into the future, to behold the promise and vision God is birthing. And that all begins with the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen.
