The Lord is initiating a shift for my family, and although there are still missing pieces in the puzzle yet to manifest before our eyes, I hold fast to the fact that “The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
Even in times of uncertainty, drought, suffering, oppression or persecution, Scripture tell us the Lord will continually guide us, and satisfy our desire in scorched places. He will give strength to our bones; and we will be like a well-watered garden, and spring whose waters do not fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
That’s good news, because to be well-watered actually means to be drenched, saturated, and drunken! Even in times when we are pressed in on every side we have everything available to us. We can be saturated with the presence of God!
If the Lord is looking throughout the earth for those whom He can bless, why would we settle to survive when we have everything we need to thrive? The Bible clearly states that "...only the rebellious dwell in a parched land." (Psalm 68:6)
I choose (and it is a choice) to pull up, press into and wrestle if necessary, to get into the Lord's presence. I seek to climb up into His lap, soaking up His heavenly goodness. With His available abundance, and invitation (Matthew 7:7), I proactively position myself to stand beneath the down pour of God's love and drink.
