God's Heart Beats for Hollywood

After last week’s loss of two Hollywood Icons, presently Hollywood is on the lips and minds of many. Hollywood has always had a global impact. What comes out of this city is far reaching. Yet for all intensive purposes the church has abandoned the responsibility to steward what is coming forth from Hollywood and we are all aware of its decay.

Last night I had a dream about God's heart for Hollywood, His coming visitation and plan to set free captives and influencers of this region. He showed me the time of release is now. There is a changing of guard coming!

Years ago when I lived in Hollywood God reached through the flames lapping in my life and rescued me, like the picture on the billboard I drove past frequently on Sunset Blvd announcing Bob Dylan's album, "Saved." I believe the billboard was a prophetic picture preempting the coming move of God.

Mark and I have been in LA this week and have spent a lot of time praying and walking around various areas of the city. Mark commented several times that LA is like a third world country in the sense that there is such poverty of spirit and soul. Shawn Bolz released an prevalent word later in the week stating the same sentiment.

Although the church has often taken the stance of rejecting what is polluted and void of righteousness, God is the initiator of invading darkness with light and reclaiming ground for Himself. Just look at you and me! His heart is that instead of running away, the church would follow suit and invade the darkness with the light of Christ.

"I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness." John 12:26

"… you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness."Romans 2:19


"For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." 2 Cor. 4:6


God's heart beats for Hollywood and as His church we need to get behind what ever moves His heart. Prayer is the most obvious means to impact a move of God, but financial support is also necessary for those who are not called physically to a region. God cares for Hollywood and He is about to infiltrate the heart of man in this region with His glory.
